Color and Trim Designer, Hyundai Motor Europe

Emilie Grimm is responsible for colours, material and finishes for Hyundai Motor Europe’s vehicle’s interior and exterior design. Important in her role is the strong collaboration with other designers and engineers, including at Hyundai’s headquarter in South Korea, to ensur that colours and materials align with the overall aesthetic vision and meet practical requirements like durability and cost-effectiveness. Another major role in developing materials for car interiors and exteriors are aligning with the automotive industry’s growing emphasis on sustainability and environmental responsibility factors like recyclability, eco-friendliness and renewable resourcing. Before joining Hyundai, Emilie Grimm completed her design diploma at the University of Art and Design in Offenbach am Main in Germany with a focus on material design.
